Mature morels at lower elevation - Mammoth Cave National Park KY
A little less than one mile off the main road in lowest elevations. Abundant mossy fallen trees, ferns, soft ground. Honey hole trees were two giant black cherries with a fallen, moss covered unidentifiable tree nearby. I left many behind (limit one gallon per day) for others to harvest. Will be back in a couple days to see if what I left was located by another morel hunter or not. Go get some!!
