Mixed hardwoods, lots of oaks and nut trees, but in an area with lots of cherries and hackberries and elms scattered throughout. The general location has a thick layer of leaf litter and lots of fallen trees, mayapples and jack-in-the-pulpits. These were near a well-rotted log surrounded by a cluster of healthy-seeming elms.
