The Great Black Forest typically produces the first morels of the season. The sighting of the black morel signifies the beginning of the morel season. This page is intended to highlight this event and serves no other purpose other than generating a woody.

Went to the Black Forest yesterday! DRY! Need rain bad!

By the way the black forest is producing. found 2 nice ones today. We have had almost no rain. The earliest I have ever found them up until last year was around the 10th of April. Last year was somewhere around March 29. Stay tuned....
April 11, 1999
The black forest produced again today with increasing shroom force. There were about 12 of the fine black morels screaming to be takin, so I abliged. The forest looked realy good!
These chronicles will be updated by the Master of the Black Forest, so that all can monitor the coming of the new season. Check back soon because as the Great Black Forest continues to produce it signifies the coming 1998 season.
