The 1998 Chronicles
The Great Black Forest is typically the woods to produce the first morels of the season. The sighting of the black morel signifies the beginning of the morel season. This page is intended to highlight this event and serves no other purpose.
Dave, Josh and Jake returned to the black forrest. It was a cold and wet day but the hard assed shroomers went anyway. Dave spotted some nice black morels and sang out. Jake heard him and came running over (literally over one) to where Dave found the shrooms. Josh found two more in the same area. Dan now has a woody that will support his weight and speaking of wait, he can't. Dave, Josh and Jake returned home where they graciously stored the blacks until the shroomin crew arrives in two weeks.
